                Ini merupakan first trip luar negara aku yang aku join..tiket telah dibeli pada bulan september 2011 lagi. Pada 28 August 2012 aku berangkat ke LCCT Kuala Lumpur dari penang dengan menaiki Flight pukul 11.30 malam. Sampai di LCCT KL pukul 12.20 malam kemudian aku melepak tidur di surau sampai pukul 5 pagi. Selepas siap pergi berjumpa ijan n the geng untuk check in luggage. Flight ke padang pada pukul 7.50 pagi waktu malaysia. Trip kali ini adalah seramai 7 peserta trmasuk aku. Kos yuran ialah RM600 sahaja.

 Selepas imigresen check kemudian guide trip kali ini pani datang mengambil kami dengan van untuk dibawa ke kerisik tuo. Perjalanan ke kerisik Tuo mengambil masa 8 jam. Sepanjang perjalanan kami singgah makan nasi padang dan makan buah markisa yang bagi aku sedap..nasi padang pun sedap dan x beza banyak dengan makanan di malaysia. Sepanjang perjalanan, kami melalui danau berkembar dan jalan di lereng bukit kerana kerisik tuo terletak lebih dari seribu meter dari paras laut.

Sampai di Kerisik Tuo lebih kurang pukul 6 petang waktu indonesia dan kami masuk ke homestay dan merehatkan badan. Setelah siap mandi dan kemas apa yang patut selepas isyak kami pergi makan nasi padang lagi sambil shopping jajan sikit2 untuk dibawa mendaki pada pagi esknya. Selepas makan kami melelapkan mata.

Seperti biasa setiap tahun, kamera speed trap akan menjadi igauan (baik atau buruk terserah pada pemandu) pemandu jalan raya di Malaysia.

So tahun ini dengan inisiatif yang baru, PDRM akan guna sistem yang automatik pulak, so tahun ni takpayah la lagi kita nak tengok anggota polis di hotspot speed trap sebab sistem yang digunapakai is fully automatik, dari apa yg kawan-kawan cakap.. even malam pun boleh beroperasi... (ada sesapa boleh sah kan?)

So banyak la yg akan updatekan GPS (Garmin/Papago etc) untuk updatekan hotspot ni kedalam GPS untuk bagi warning bila approach hotspot nih...

bagi yang takde GPS, kena la print senarai kat bawah nih dan lekat kat cermin kereta sebagai reference..

Last Saturday.... member2 dari club Vios organized mini berbuka puasa event kat Restoran Pan Mutiara Butterworth.... lebih kurang 13 ahli club menghadirkan diri dan kami packed the parking lot dengan kereta Vios...

Makanan berbuka kat sini mesti ada their signature dish.. Fish Head Curry... memang mantop dan sedap... so kalau sesapa yg tersesat ke Butterworth, boleh la singgah kat restoran nih.. kat Taman Selat belakang bank-bank yg banyak kat situ..

Wordless Wednesday - Toyota vios Bodykit.... yg mana ek?

Yang mana satu?

bermula satu "kesakitan"..

Pada akhir bulan 4, aku balik dari satu course di Shah Alam (1 week course), sesampai kat rumah rasa tak selesa belakang dan berpanjangan sampai 1 minggu.. so aku p la ke klinik panel company aku untuk check. Doc diagnose as muscle cramp kat belakang... so dia bagi painkiller and patch to tampal kat tempat sakit tu.

ok sekejap untuk 5 hari , lepas tu sakit lagi still di belakang tapi at another location... bawah sikit... so sekali lagi p ke klinik panel yg sama (sebab dah ada history yang sebelum tu) sama jugak diagnose nya... more painkiller (which i never consumed) and ubat otot.

lepas tu still afe more session to the doc sakit belakang tapi at different location..

the apex of the kesakitan adalah pada tanggal May 25, 2012 (friday).
- feel uneasy + pain dekat pinggang
- menjalar ke bawah paha dan lutut.
- dan berakhir di atas betis..

waktu sembahyang jumaat memang dah tak concentrate kat khutbah sebab dok melawan sakit yg amat sangat. Duduk bersila tak selesa, dulu melunjurkan kaki tak boleh, duduk sila panggung tak membantu..

Waktu berdiri untuk mengejakan sembahyang Jumaat, kaki terasa bagai nak tercabut dari soket.. memang masa berdiri tu cuma sebelah kaki aje yang support.. amat memeritkan...

lepas sembahyang jumaat, 3 jam sebelum masa untuk balik.. memang menyiksakan, aku dah tak boleh meluruskan kaki kiri. Setiap langkah seperti berjalan atas bara api, dan satu kerja un tak jadi nak buat sebab fikiran memang dah terfokus kat kaki yang sakit tu.

masa balik nasib baik still boleh drive sendiri walaupun kereta aku kereta manual..

Tukar tajuk blog kejap....

Apa yang saya xsperience starting from May 26, 2012 menyebabkan tajuk blog  terpaksa ditukar.. dari "KEJADIAN" ke "KESAKITAN"...

sekarag dah getting better.... so as to share the experience.. nanti saya akan blogkan experience tu... dengan MC yang hampir melebihi limit dan the extensive fisio... memang patutu aku update blog log ni jadi "KESAKITAN"

Windows 7 XP Mode Losses password

Just thought i share yet another tips i experience and solved it with the help of mr google..

I setup a Windows & Pro PC and trying to use the Windows Virtual PC everything went on smoothly except for thatafter i install SQL Server 7.0 in Windows XP Mode, the XP Mode asked for a password for user XPMUser whereas i never specified any password before.

After some searching i found the solution from  another forum...

Season 7 end with a bang and can wait to see how Dean survives Purgatory and how Sam handles the lonesome after being screwed by Crowley....

Season 8 has been confirm and i cant wait for it sometime in Dec 2012 (my estimation of course)...

Klinik yang tak tepati masa..

Waktu buka:
"Malam: 8:00pm ~ 10pm"

So aku pun mai la jam 8:00pm (sebab takut mai lambat orang ramai la pulak), ada la 3 orang yang dok tunggu nak jumpa doc.. lepas register aku lepak kat waiting-bench.. tunggu punya tunggu... jam dah jam 9:15pm... orang ramai dah mencecah 20 orang.. tapi doc. pangkal rambut pun tak nampak lagi.. bila tanya kat kaunter dia kata doc OTW..  dah lebih 1jam 15 minit aku tunggu OTW lagi.. baik jangan buka klinik camni..

ada makcik sorang tu kata... kalau nak mati memang dah mati pun sebab tunggu.

So jam memcecah jam 9:30pm, aku berangkat keluar dengan rasa tak puas hati.. aku p ke klinik lain. Ntah jam brapa la doc tu sampai... bayangkan masa jam 9:30 org dah ada 20 org patients, sempat ka dalam 30 minit nak check semua!!

" Waktu Buka:
Malam: bila time doc. mai ~ jam 10:00pm"

baru la tak baran sangat!!.

klinik tu ubatnya memang ok and doc. yang bertugas memang baik and check betul-betul.. tapi tang bab punctualiti ni yang sangat menghairankan...

ikut cakap kawan aku.. mmg itu la modus-operandi klinik tu pada waktu malam... pelik pelik..

Pendrive files and folders changed to shortcut

A few of my collegue experiencing this before with their pendrive where all the files and fodlers in the pendrive became a list of shortcut that leads to nowherere. This a virus that actually hide all the files and folders and create a shortcut instead. I'm not too sure what its called but it has resulted in a few people having to re-type their assignments and term papers.

Some shop (that my friend send the pendrive to have it checked) resorted to a rather nasty way to remove it via formating thus resulted in the lost of all the files in the pendrive. Upon a quick search in the internet, we can easily recover the files and eliminating the shortcut files from the pendrive.

One such link is this page, fix-external-flash-drive-files-changed-to-shortcuts-virus, a very nice and step by step way to recover the file.

basically you need to go to Command Prompt (the black screen) via START - RUN - type "cmd"

and on the screen just type the following and refering it to your pendrive drive, in my example the pendrive is drive J:

the command will be as follows:
attrib -h -r -s /s /d j:*.*
press ENTER

give it a few seconds to execute and then walla... you'll see all your files in the pendrive again.

pretty sweet and sure beats reformating the pendrive

Using ampersand (&) in MS Access

I've been tinkering with MS Access programming for years but i often find it annoying that a label in MS Access (at least in Access 2003 and below) we cannot use the (& - ampersand) straight away. A simple task really but if you dont know how to do it, it becomes very trivial, isnt it?

If you use the (&) straight away, you'll end-up with an underscore on the word after the (&) for example; &Update would resulted in Update a shortcut to Alt+U.

So just thought i share (although it should be a very fundamental know-how for every system developer) we can use && straight away to show the "&" in our label.

An example; you wanted to show M&U so you should type M&&U (noted the double &), else if you just type M&U you would have MU instead (noted the underline "U")

a simple thing really, just thought i share it...

Gempa bumi di Carrefour Seberang Jaya...

ok.. this is late... should be out yesterday evening.. but there was a thunderstorm near my area last night and i didnt dare to use my PC for update...

I was at Carrefour prai at around 3:30pm entertaining the kids on the playground near the food court there, so all of them with their cousin (total 5 of them) were enjoying themselves.

At around 4:30pm, i felt dizzy and felt the floor below me moving, and i looked at the water inside the mineral bottle is tilting... and everyone is screaming...."gempa bumi....gempa bumi...!!!"

so i pickup all my kids and put them in a shopping trolley and join the crowd down the stairs to the parking lot..

Good thing that i didnt take the escalator since those escalator have this groove that prevent the trolley from moving down.... so i'm not stuck there... a few other stuck there for a long time...

After we're well away from the area... i notice that.. no one actually using the EMERGENCY EXIT (including me) which located just beside the playground... maybe all are panic and simply thinking to use the way they come in the store (me included..again).

I think the store also need to advise the public to utilize the emergency exit, i do heard the announcement to evacuate the building.. but they didnt mentioned anything about the emergency exit. If its a major quake.. i think those people on the escalator would have a different story to tell yesterday.

So all the shops close early except for those handphone kiosk, since during the evacuation.. they're busy securing their Galaxy Tab, Galaxy notes and Iphone's from the glass display....

a good experience (i an indirect way, since i dont think i ever felt a quake this big before).. even my daughters also asking about the quake now and really interested to know how it happens... so being a good daddy, i need to explain them later today .....

p/s: i was waiting to post this for over a century (well i might be a bit exaggerated) but always wanted to commemorate this date ever since i started building (now completed-here) my RMS Titanic model. So hopefully this very short post served my purpose.. and i should have posted this early in the morning.. but again responsibility gets in the way of posting... so this should suffice.. ;o)

Great scale model base idea...

was browsing the web for some inspiration to start my new build (torn between a Merkava 2 or Magach 6 tank) i stumble upon this base idea...

its the combination of a completed and the base of the kit complete with the cutting board underneath (the blue base).. this actually will highlight the changes being made to the kit before we can call it complete.

unique and you only have to paint half of the model :p

I for one have tried using a few things as base including a cutting board, photo-frame, cardboard etc.. and maybe one of these days i'll try the above.... :)

while i'm thinking which tank to build next... need to wrap-up my AS-90 (i'll post the progress here in a few days)

Yuna in Conan O'Brien show & the Come As You Are video..

I found this video after reading the news about Yuna  in today Berita Minggu...




i'm a big fan of Nirvana and seeing this new rendition of the hit Come As You Are from Yuna sure is a fresh of fresh air for the original version.. of course the original still the greatest version ever.. (well .. how to top the original version, right?)

I also read that she did a performance in the Conan O'Brien show on April 2nd, 2012. The video can be found here... yuna-live-your-life in Conan O'Brien show

I think her performance in the show is not the best performance... i think the music somehow overshadowed her performance... (maybe its just my ears, which is already used to some loud music :p).

Forces spéciales (Special Forces) - war is hell....

Last night while everyone else in Malaysia is busy watching the final episode of a cheeky drama series "Vanilla Cokelat", i was watching this movie in my "man-cave"...

It is a french adventure war movie, i usually will give a foreign language movie a miss but the premises of this movie makes me want to watch it (i'm a sucker for a war movie like this). This movie centers around a rescue mission to save a kidnapped French journalist from a "rogue-Taliban" extremist. (Remember that this is a foreign movie so please ignore the typical-bad-guy-from-Afghanistan-Taliban thing and enjoy the movie as it is).

I for one enjoyed the movie and the heroism portrayed by the Special Forces "could" bring a tears or two from the audience.

Go find the movie and watch it as it is.. and for any military-modeler-buff out there, you will be able to catch a glimpse of a few military hardware (not the typical US made) such as the NH-90 Helicopter, Tiger HAP helicopter, the Super Frelon, the Charles de Gaulle  aircraft carrier and the Mirage 2000. I might missed a few but sure nice to see another hardware from another nation.

anyway, if you find a .mkv version; use VLC Media player to watch it :o)

Middle finger as a form of salute.....

weird... very weird indeed...

Over the weekend, aku berbasikal sebagai part of aku punya routine and then i saw a few remaja saluting each other with their "middle finger"... and the other party responded to it with a smile and saluting back to their friends with the same gesture.

I thought only when people are mad at someone over a road-rage or near missed accident on highway does people use their middle-finger as a form of self-expression but this is weird.

I guess gone are the days of friends angkat tangan and say "hi" to each other not maybe the in thing is this new saluting method :o)

Well... at least they're still saluting each other... right?

The Grey - An intense great movie!!

An intense and a powerful thriller movie this is, i just finish watching it and i must recommend it to all..
The musical score (especially the ending piano) is very appropriate to the poem that have been the main drive for the main character John Ottway (Liam Neeson).

He survived a plane crash in the Alaskan wilderness and he must survived the wolf...

and dont forget to watch the after the ending credit ... :o)

After 2 years (Expendables 1 released in 2010) finally a sequel is coming out come this year August 17, 2012... cant wait... i watched the original and i believe the ex-governor or California is now is given a bigger role instead of a cameo appearance in the first movie... the trailer also not bad although i would expect to see more trailer coming soon as the release date comes closer...

So mark your calendar and start amassing funds for the ticket fees (as i think its not getting any cheaper) :o)

As some already notices, i'm revamping my Scale Modelling site (previously at http://kumanworks.110mb.com) and moving it to my own domain (http://kumanworks.com). And during this migration process i'm learning to use Joomla 1.7 as i go a long.

Real Steel!!!! The Best Movie i watched!!!

 Call me late.... yes i admit i'm late at watching this movie... heck i really wish i was early in the line at the cinema when they first show this... but nooo..... i have to ignore this and thinking.."sure should be enough watching it on TV next Hari Raya"... but i was dead wrong......

 


I would say this is better than Transfomers: Dark of the Moon (maybe because in this movie there's only 1 star robot, ATOM).

As i was watching this movie a few minutes ago, i was at the edge of my computer-seat, abandoning my M8 Greyhound  build and letting my air compressor running on empty... and also almost let my Gunze Surfacer dried ( i'm ready to primed my M-8 before i "accidently" switch on Real Steel).

The star of the movie have to be ATOM, and Max Kenton really brings the movie to live.... not forgetting Hugh Jackman & Evangeline Lily (famous from her LOST years and Martin Keamy from LOST also with her in this movie!!) 

 So, for those like me who is LATE.... go get it from your nearest VCD/DVD shop (where able possible buy original guys!) and enjoy the movie..... its a good movie for the whole family (except for maybe a short kissing scene on top of the Tallets' Gym) so now go watch it!!!

Go already.....  

as for me... need to add some thinner to my "almost dried Mr Surfacer" before i hit the bed...

Supernatural Season 7 is back!!

My first post in 2012 and i began with cheering YEHAAAA!!!!.... Supernatural Season 7 is BACK!!! after an almost a month long hiatus.... the adventure of Sam and Dean continues...

 This episode 11 aired on January 6th, 2012 and it begins where Episodes 10 left off... after Bobby Singer pass them the set of numbers....

What is that number? got to watch it!!!... and they're back to hunting Vetala... and at the same time helping Krissy get back his dad...

Really bad on what happened to Bobby... but i'm sure he'll be back (or is he?)

anyway... will continue to watch this next Friday....

COMPLETED British Challenger 2 MBT Op. Telic (Part Final)

Finally its done...
after a few months sitting on my workbench its finally done!!

with added some detailing this must have been my most elaborate base to date for my build and the only thing missing is some figure....:o)

now i included some canvas tarp on the tank to cover some of the ration boxes and with added stuff i hope this would somehow represent the challenger 2 on a checkpoint somewhere during Ops Telic...

if you look closely, you might saw a poster of the late Saddam Hussein on the base

  This would be my "virtual" entry for a locally organized Diorama Group Build, it is virtual because i couldnt make it to the event due to me visiting the LIMA 2011 over the weekend thus my entry will just be based on some of these photos.

 There's a lot of my "first" on this build which includes the base, the use of scratch build Jersery Barrier, the use of those ration boxes and the elaborate base.

and this will be my last completed build for year 2011 and looking forward to more build in 2012. Stay tuned for more stuff from my workbench.. and be on a look-out for my new website with my own domain name coming in a few weeks.... for preview visit http://kumanworks.com

LIMA 2011 - here i come!!

(actually tomorrow, but since early tomorrow morning i'll depart to Langkawi so i posted this today... :o) )

Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace (LIMA) Exhibition 2011 is happening now (for the public) until tomorrow in where else... Langkawi Island and i'll be there tomorrow morning...

 Now at its 11th edition and my 2nd LIMA visit to date ( i was there during LIMA 2007). My main interest is to see the the Dassault Rafale, Saab Gripen, FA-18E Super Hornet and the Eurofighter in person also not forgetting the TUDM MIG-29s and the SU-30MKM....

I'm also going to make sure i didnt miss the helicopter exhibition on the tarmac and visiting the souvenir shop since i somehow forget to do so on my last visit in 2007 (maybe during that time i was captivated by the Red Arrows acrobatics performance  a few meters above my head hahahaha)

I planned to go via Kuala Kedah and still haven't decided if its going to be a day trip or will stay there until Sunday morning since accommodation shouldn't be a problem since i have a cousin working on the island.

Anyway for more info on LIMA 2011 visit http://www.lima.com.my/  and remember that today is the starting day for the public to visit the exhibition (9-10 December) since the last 3 days (6,7, 8 December) it only open for Trade Visitors

I'll post some photos during my visit there sometime next week and until then....

Detailing : WIP: British Challenger 2 MBT Op. Telic (Part 6)

Back with another round of updates for my British Challenger 2 MBT...

Yesterday, i ENLIST myself with the armor campaign in www.armorama.com under the British Armour Past and Present campaign.  To be honest, i'm very scared to join in since my build skill is very amateurish compared to all the sifus over there.. but to really encourage me to build something, i just thought i join in the fun... This campaign will end in Dec 31, 2011; so i still have 1 month to finish my build..

This time i'm going to put some ratio storage & boxes on the base... this is just a test to see if the boxes sizes confirm to the 1:35 scale.

I found the boxes from the internet and then print it out  on a 100gm white paper and now i got a whole bunch of boxes to fold and glue together.

This is not the final layout as i'm still toying with the idea on how to place it on the base.
The checkpoint sign i found via google and then shrink it to size... and print them together with the boxes.

Still need some touch-up on the boxes and the sign since now they're just too clean.

The late Saddam Hussein poster also i found on the internet from some 1/35 propaganda set and i print it on a 70gm paper the same goes for the poster on the jersey barrier.

Will update a little bit more later with the final placement of all the stuff and then i can proceed with dusting the whole setup..

new show...Travelog AirAsia, but...

I loved travel show... somehow i find such show is very informative and educational at the same time...
so today at 7pm, the new show i've been looking forward to watch finally being aired on TV3...Travelog AirAsia... and their first destination is the City of Love... PARIS!!!

Every aspect of the travelling to Paris is covered in this Travelog AirAsia pilot episode from visiting the Eifel Tower, Versailles Palace to shopping near the Arc de Triomphe all done in 5 days and 4 nights...

But... i somehow think that maybe Travelog AirAsia should cover a little bit of how to obtain a halal food there during the travel.. like a recommended restaurant to get a Halal food in Paris or something that we might need to prepare when travelling there... Not saying that it should be covered in detail but should be enough if they would make a tips "pop-up" during the show showing the place to eat...

During the 1 hour, all i can see that, they said that they completed their lunch etc but failed to mentioned what they eat and where... this might be very important for travelers.. ( at least i think its important)...

and IIRC, they mentioned in their promo during Melodi, they should whould make a review of Hotels from 3 stars to 5 stars hotel during the travel.... but again.. i might be mistaken...

anyway.. overall a nice show especially for people like me who never traveled to Paris before (never travel to anyplace outside Malaysia in the recent years).. hopefully it will improved later on...

they even have a contest at the end of the show... this week the questions is... When was the Eifel Tower built?... but in their website they have a different question.... hmmmm weird...

looking forward for next week show... :o)

Just thought i up my blog with some update to commemorate this "binary" day..

I know a lot of people are planning to have their wedding today either its an "akad nikah" or "bersanding"  or even "bertunang" so what ever the occasions are, hope that it will last forever and ever...

The Base : WIP: British Challenger 2 MBT Op. Telic (Part 5)

Another round of updates...

In this updates i'll try to make a suitable base for the tank with all those 1/35 Jersey Barrier that i created earlier. This British Challenger 2 i'll try to show that its on a checkpoint randomly during the Ops Telic duration.

The main "ingredients" for my base are:

• White Styrofoam
• Wall filler
• A4 Photo frame 

First we'll look at the base, i cut the white Styrofoam to fit the a ready made photo-frame that i purchased earlier.

Below is the base with the wall filler already applied on top of the white-styrofoam.

After that i would primer the base with some industrial surfacer and then with a layer of flat black as the base color. Also this would depict the road color.

 As you can see, i try to lay some of the stuff that one can expect to find on a check point for example the Jersey Barrier, some pipes and some random stuff. (please ignore the bombs in the above photo, just something i test to make the base more lively).

Below are photos of the idea of the base with the Challenger 2 tank on it.

 Other modeller suggested me to put some signs and some barbwire on the base.
I've already printed out some signs to test and also will try to make some barbwire and let see how it look on my base

p/s: i'm also currently paying the Single Player Campaign   of the game Battlefield 3.... will write-up a short review when i'm done playing it... :o)
