Hard Rock Cafe San Francisco shotglass

Another fine addition to my Hard Rock Cafe shotglass collection...

this time a friend attended a meeting in San Francisco last week, so he stopped by HRC to get some t-shirt for himself and 2 shotglasses for me.. wohooo!!!

My regret is that i forgot to ask him to stop by HRC in Singapore Changi Airport cafe, else it would be another addition..

of course i've to pay him back the cost of the shotglass but again its a worthy addition to my HRC & Planet Hollywood collection.

Now mu humble collection of HRC shotglasses count is at 26 pcs so if anyone willing to help me out can do let me know:D

Airplane boarding: CEO airliners kena tengok..

Baru abis tonton ulangan Mythbuster Season 10 Episode 13 bertajuk "Airplane Boarding/Bite the Bullet".

Aku rasa episode kali nih semua airline CEO and bahagian yang passenger boarding kena tengok. (Buat je google Mythbusters S10E13, sure akan ada link untuk download)

Banyak kali kita tengok org hadapi masalah lamabt bila nak boarding plane.. aku rasa selalunya apa yg digunakan adalah yg standard boarding style tu... business class, lepas tu baru yang lain lain start dari seat belakang mai ke depan... tapi kalau ikut yg Mythbusters ni buat itu adalah cara yang paling lambat untuk boarding plane. dan passenger pun tak berapa suka method nih...

Adam & Jamie actually build a 1:1 model of the airplane seating completed with stewardess and 200 volunteers to play the role of the passengers. Superb...

ikut Mythbuster punya kajian, Of course cara yang paling cepat adalah random seating tapi undi passenger itu adalah yg paling teruk sekali.. sbb org semua rushing nak duduk so passenger comfortability suffers..

cara yang paling comfort to passenger adalah WILMA seating (Windows seat, Middle Seat, Aisle Seat), boleh tahan jugak masa. nak tengok semua result diorang untuk episode nih click kat sini (Mythbusters Results)

So maybe inilah masa untuk ubah cara kita boarding.. ehh ka dah ada airlines yg guna cara ni untuk boarding? its been a while since aku last board airplane :D

Jalan Makan: Nasi Lemak Mummy

fuh... tepat tepat seminggu sehari lepas baru aku update blog.. sorry ekk terbusy kat opis..

anyway.. cam aku bagitau kat entry aku yg lepas... jalan-jalan-ke-rope-walk-butterworth. aku ada singgah ke Nasi Lemak Mummy kat Kulim nih

Area tu area Taman Berlian selepas IPD Kulim seberang jalan dari Petronas Taman Bersatu.. ada simpang 4 kat situ .. kalua mai dari arah Bukit Mertajam dia kat belah kanan betul betul kat simpang tu.

dah lama kedai nih seingat aku dah dekat 9 tahun ada.. tapi aku jer yg tak pernah singgah... asik lalu jer almaklum la kan nama pun Nasi Lemak malam mana bukak pepagi buta jer start bukak..

so ari tu aku pekena nasi lemak diorang.. tapi aku rasa tak berapa ngam dah sebab:
1. dah takde daun pisang atas pinggan (aku nampak yg bungkus still ada daun pisang)
2. portion makin kecik (dulu ada office mate aku bawak besaq lagi)
3. biasa aku rasa makin mahai (tak sure lak berapa tapi mahai la jugak maybe sbb gula naik rega kot)

Orang still ramai mai makan berbilang bangsa mai makan.. Melayu, Cina, India, dan warga asing yg lain banyak dok mai makan tak kurang jugak yg tapau.

Sesapa yg tersesat kat sini boleh la mai makan ni googlemaps punya coordinate.. bleh la GPS kan dia

Jalan-jalan ke Rope-Walk Butterworth

Weekend lepas selepas breakfast di Nasi Lemak Mummy (insyallah nanti aku buat thread pasai tempat ni pulak), trus drive ke Butterwoth

plan nak ke Rope Walk Butterworth yang terletak di belakang kawasan Bank-bank on the way untuk ke Stesen Bas & Keretapi Butterworth (kalau tak salah aku ada signboard tunjuk masuk ke kawasan tu).

Kalau mai awai banyak parking,
 mai lambat jenuh pusing

Dah lama aku dengaq pasai Rope-walk nih tapi takpernah aku jejakkan kaki.. so expectation aku tak ler sebesar mana untuk tempat nih...

Mengikut kata kawan aku, ni tempat yg amat sesuai untuk carik barang-barang antik yg murah.

Memang betul pun, aku nampak banyak penjual yang menjual botol-botol coca-cola yg lama2, barang perhiasan antik, pisau-pisau, cincin-cincin batu, baju-baju jersey dan termasuk la gadget-gadget.

Aku sendiri pun terbeli 4 bijik MUG MILO yang limited edition tu (nanti aku cerita kan dalam post yg akan datang) + 1 set cawan lama Nescafe Menu... memang lama dah dok carik akhirnya dapat kat sini .. rega pun murah .. RM6/pcs... mana nak cekau kan... penuh la almari display aku ngan mug nih

"Gutless" F7U Cutlass - silver shading - WIP

A little updates...

a continuation of my Cutlass Cutlass build entry

a shading process of the Silver Cutlass to make a bit of character out of the boring silver scheme..
the shading achieve by using a Tamiya Flat Aluminium , i would prefer nor mal Aluminium but Flat variant is all i have so Flat shading it is...

oh and excuse the green tape on the plane surface, it was meant for the next step, the masking of the decal since i foresee the decal that i have is not good so i'll opt to spray on the decal instead..

its all about making your IDEA works..

so far only have 633,420 views (not as much as PSY- Gangnam Style view and not as entertaining as Gangnam Style video) but the message is far greater and inspiring.

"Gutless" F7U Cutlass - bling-bling version WIP

Today update with related to my hobby for a change.. its been a while i updated something which is related to modelling..

This time around i'm doing the short lived Chance Vought F7U Cutlass in Natural Metal Finish (hence the bling-bling version)

After treatment with Mr Surfacer 1000 and painting the leading edge red

Before painting the Natural Metal color, need to prepare the base color with gloss black so that the resulted NMF finishing would be shinier and glossier... will show the effect in a bit.

After 2 layers of Tamiya X-11 Chrome Silver, this are the result.... and noted that this is my first time playing with this elusive chrome paint..

i expected it to be more bling-bling.. have to wait for another layer or so...
if given a choice i would get the Aclad Silver but time requires me to test this paint... so far so good..

Dengan lagu Opick-Rapuh yang aku share semalam... so tengah malam tadi aku tertanya-tanya camne la ending cite Tentang Dhia ni maklumla dah lama tengok kan...

yg seingat aku Zikir meninggal dalam tidur di sisi Dhia (..sob..sob...) sambil diiringi lagu Rapuh nih.. (..sob..sob..)

so aku menggoggle la episode akhir dan akhirnya berjayalah aku menonton.. Cinta hingga ke hujung nyawa...

aku pun baru tau hari nih adalah Hari basuh Tangan Sedunia yang disambut pada tiap-tiap Oktober 15 setiap tahun

Dan Tahun 2012 adalah tahun yg ke-5 hari ini disambut diseluruh dunia.

Pada aku basuh tangan dengan cara yang betul memang akan membantu mencegah penularan penyakit-penyakit seperti cirit-birit, taun dsb dan terutamanya selepas anda keluar dari toilet.

ewww.. tak terbayang aku kalau org keluar dari toilet (tak kira besar atau kecil) tapi tak basuh tangan dengan cara yang betul dengan menggunakan sabun etc. Ada... memang ada org yg tak basuh tangan selepas guna toilet..... menjijikkan...

so jom pakat-pakat p basuh tangan dengan sabun dan insist on toilet yang menyediakan sabun untuk basuh tangan...

Why Handwashing?

Handwashing with soap is the “vaccine” that prevents infections.

Here is why: Human feces are the main source of diarrheal pathogens. They are the source of shigellosis, typhoid, cholera, all other common endemic gastro-enteric infections and some respiratory infections such as influenza and pneumonia. A single gram of human feces can contain 10 million viruses and one million bacteria.

These pathogens are passed from an infected host to a new one via various routes but all of these illnesses emanate from feces. Removing excreta and cleaning hands with soap after contact with fecal material –from using the toilet or cleaning a child – prevents the transmission of the bacteria, viruses and protozoa that cause diarrheal diseases.

Other measures (food handling, water purification, and fly control) have an impact on these diseases as well, but sanitation and handwashing provide the necessary protection against fecal contact. They start by creating initial barriers to fecal pathogens from reaching the domestic environment. Handwashing with soap stops the transmission of disease agents and so can significantly reduce diarrhea and respiratory infections, and may impact skin and eye infections.

Research shows that children living in households exposed to handwashing promotion and soap had half the diarrheal rates of children living in control neighborhoods. Because handwashing can prevent the transmission of a variety of pathogens, it may be more effective than any single vaccine. Promoted on a wide enough scale, handwashing with soap can be thought of as a “do-it-yourself” vaccine. Ingraining the habit of handwashing could save more lives than any single vaccine or medical intervention."

Supernatural S08Ep01 - "We Need to talk About Kevin"- short review

Finally the wait is over and i got to watch the first episodes a couple of days ago..

As normal, a few questions were raised in the first episode and the answers will be revealed throughout the season (as expected) and its good to see the Winchester brother back together again and the returning of Crowley is a welcomed sight as well. A new cast will help drive the story even further.

And we have to expect to see a lot of flashbacks in this season as 1 year in Purgatory (for Dean) and 1 year without his brother (for Sam) will have a lot of adventure and stories to be told. Just hope that it didnt interfere with their "regular" adventure together.

And i cant wait to see what's in store for Cass (in Purgatory) & Meg after the Leviathan incident in the end of last season.

Will continue to watch this series and i'll try to update in here from time to time.

A lot of series is premiering and i have to juggle between watching these, my hobbies, and work.. :lol: coming up is Criminal Minds Season 8...

1/48 Trumpeter F9F Panther (Recon)- Completed

my latest Scale Modelling project just completed after almost 3 months working on it on-off and surprisingly is my.. hmmm let see.. maybe 4/5 models i completed this year so far...

This will be going to KL for the Cold War GB organized by my local modelling club.

The kit is a Trumpeter F9F-2 Panther that come with 2 kind or radome to choose from and i opt to make the recon version (although there's no marking for recon version in the box :D).

The fit was ok on most part and i didnt see any big error on the fit and what i especially like is the decal.. it was very thin and adhere very well to the surface after a prep by Mr Setter & Mr Softer over Future layer.

Paint it from Gunze H56 (Intermediate Blue) over some white.

Enjoy the completed photo below....(which reminds me, i need to make a lightbox for photo taking soon.. my model photo taking looks hideous!!)

Will work on a F7U Cutlass and EF-111A next.. wish me luck!!!
