Another round of updates!! this time decal..

i saw that this is going to be a problem for me..
since 2bobs decided to use multiple layer decal-style....
they even have 3 layers of decal to be place on-top one another (backing - decal - another decal) which i'll show much later on..

but first to test the decal i try on the tail fin.. this side only have 2 layers..

so this is how i do it.. hopefully its the right way..

1. prep the surface with Future (as normal)
2. when dry, i put Mr Setter.
3. Put the decal (of course after soaking it with warm water)
4. use Mr Softer.
5. gently use future on top of the decal to set it in place and let dry in preparation of the next decal layer.
6. when the first decal is set (the future dried), i put my setter again.
7. repeat step 1 - 5.

so the result as follows...

in the next updates, i'll show the Mr Softer, Mr Setter and Future for reference..

Eat those Oats:Muesli Biscuits

Grocery shopping yesterday, and see this new biscuits on the shelf.
Since the biscuits that i normally have at home (which if from another kind) is about to expired (why i buy a close to expiry date thing is another story); i thought i give this a try.

Upon tasting the biscuit, i fall in love with the taste. Full with those "muesli" stuff + oats etc and very filling i must add. In the big package they have 10 individually pack biscuit (which i think a trend that need to be standardize for ease of handling); very convenience indeed.

But the problem is, i cant stop at just 1 pack... last nite alone i end up eating 4 packs in 1 sitting, maybe i was hungry due to an early dinner of Laksa i have earlier or maybe i just trying to stay awake at 12am after a session of Dragon Age Origins (DAO). And speaking of DAO; last nite only a short session due to the extreme sleepiness that i literally doze of infront of the monitor (i guess the 4 packs of biscuits didnt help me stay awake at all) :lol:

anyway, try this biscuit and share your thought.

F-16C Aggressor "Lizard Scheme"

So another round of modelling madness and few first thing for me also.

The below set of work were completed last week and a few achievement were made ini the process of painting the model.

a) First freehand camo (no masking used)
b) First time using a less thinner in the paint mixing process.
c) First time to truly use Photoshop Elements 7 to edit the picture (all those borders etc)

As of last night, the model already going through a "Future" bath in preparation for the decal application which "hopefully" will begins tonight if i can get a break from watching TV (CSI Miami Season Finale is tonight).

The model will appear a bit shiny, but i'm sure a coat of Flat Coat later on (after the decal) will cover the shining thing.

its been a long wait... and finally its almost here..
according to ABC, the show will premiere on Tuesday, February 2, 2010.

I also need to do just that to recap on what's happening in the show but come Feb 2, the wait is over...... but of course being where i'm i'll need to wait a few days for it.

Its been awhile.. again..

Now hooked on Gaming and now is playing Dragon Age Origins...
Been playing on & off due to work commitment and Scale Modelling stuff.. pretty buzy day...

Playing Noble Human.. and now at level 12 Warrior and at about 13% in the game.

Completed the Nature Of the Beast quest for the Dalish Elf near the Brecilian Forest and encopunter one of the best character in game.... Dyana the Werewolf.. pity that i had to put her to rest to end her suffering...

Something dari email.. sure many people already received or seen this... we can really relate to this...

Paku-Paku di Dinding Hati...

Ada seorang pemuda yang sangat pemarah. Dia tidak dapat mengawal kemarahannya walaupun ianya hanya satu masalah kecil sahaja.

Pada suatu hari, bapanya telah menghadiahkannya dengan seguni paku. "Untuk apakah paku-paku ini ayah?" tanya pemuda tersebut. "Setiap kali kamu marah, kamu pakulah tembok batu di hadapan rumah kita ini, bagi melepaskan kemarahan mu" jawab ayahnya.

Pada hari yang Pertama sahaja, pemuda itu telah memaku sebanyak 37 batang paku pada tembok batu tersebut. Selepas beberapa minggu, setelah dia dapat mengurangkan kemarahannya, jumlah paku yang digunakan juga
berkurangan. Dia mendapati, adalah lebih mudah mengawal kemarahannya dari memukul paku menembusi tembok batu tersebut.

Akhirnya tibalah pada suatu hari, dimana pemuda tersebut tidak marah, walau sekali pun. Dia pun memberitahu ayahnya mengenai perkara tersebut dengan gembira. Bapanya mengucapkan tahniah dan menyuruh dia mencabut kembali paku itu satu persatu, pada setiap hari yang ia lalui tanpa kemarahan.

Hari berganti hari, dan akhirnya dia berjaya mencabut kesemua paku-paku tersebut. Pemuda tersebut lantas memberitahu perkara tersebut kepada bapanya dengan bangganya. Bapanya lantas memimpin tangannya ke tembok tersebut dan berkata "Kau telah melakukannya dengan baik, anakku, tetapi lihatlah kesan lubang-lubang di tembok batu tersebut, tembok itu tidak akan kelihatan sama lagi seperti sebelumnya.

Lost Season 5 Finale

LOST: SEASON 5 Finale



This is just about the one and only TV series that i've been following without a skip and some of the episode i watched multiple time going back and forth in between seasons (just to cope with all the character flashes).

and now Season 5 ended yesterday and the Final season of the series (Season 6) will not be returning for another NINE MONTHS!!!....

i have yet to watch the season finale.. maybe tonite ; so until i do... i'll avoid any website or any thing that might spoiled my watching enjoyment... so back-off spoilers!! :)) :D

Maybe i have something to say AFTER i watched the finale.. hehehe

Its the time of the months again for a free dinner provided by my superior and this time around in Kenny Rogers Roasters.

And this is what i ordered with a budget of RM50/head...

and those are a very delicious and stomachful of food...
and i have to "ta-pau" the sandwich coz its just too big...

Hooked on Gaming...Neverwinter Nights 2

Back...
Last couple of weeks i reinstalled one of my favorite RPG game around.. Neverwinter Nights 2.. i finish the first Neverwinter Nights years ago and now this is the 2nd try which i try to actually finish this 2nd game...

by the look at the current progress i might be able to finsh this... the schedule of playing will be as follows... from 10:30pm every night to around 12:30am... so this give me enough time to wake up in the morning feeling fresh before go to work.

But during the weekend its a different schedule.. hahah

Now approcing the end of ACT I with my Fighter/Frenzied Berserker character.

So if anyone loved PC Games... give this game a try.

Learning to use PS Elements

Its time to learn some new skill...

armed with a Digital Camera magazine issue January 2009, i load up the Photoshop Elements 7 and try to "cook-up" some image based on the tutorial they have in there... even though some of the tutorials would require the adjustment of the color contrast etc, i end up leaving all the color as it is just used the PS Elements to add the frame to the shots only.

All the shots below i captured using my 1 year old Panasonic Lumix TZ15 and using the preset setting for scenery. The location of these shot is just around my house during either sunset or at dawn.

enjoy my learning experience and hopefully these would inspire other people to take up photography and use PS Elemets as one of the tools for the post-production of your photos. Although i know there are a few more tools out there that can do it faster like the all in one Google's Picasa 3 and those from ACDSee.

Eating out...

Orait...

Yesterday... me and the office mate went out for early dinner at one of the eatery that just open last year... just on the way back to my house... the food is nice but the price .. well let just say eat there once can last you a few dinner if you eat at the normal Tomyam restaurant. ehheh

anyway... like i said.. the food is nice and the portion of each food also not that bad...
i ordered the Roasted Chicken with Tumeric Sauce (since i already try their Grilled Black Pepper Chicken the other day) and also a Iced Caffe Mocha (although its very rare for me to drink iced beverages during meal) and also "tarpau" some Tiramitsu and Blueberry Cheesecake for the one waiting at home :D

when all is done, come the hard part.. paying for the meal. but lucky for me and my officemate... we can claim this from our recreation benefit... so basically we eat for free la yesterday...

all in all a very satisfaying meal and i dont know if i'll be able to eat here again in the coming months... the future outlook is not that great nowadays....

Nasi Lemak Temptation

Cycling is part of my routine during the weekend (Saturday & Sunday) or any day that i take leave... and the routine usually starts at around 7:30am and lasted for around 1.5hours later. And this again somehow related to my last post below..

So last saturday, i was at my regular route which pass by a very good Nasi Lemak stall by the side of the road. And the smell of hot nasi lemak on a banana leaf really makes me wanna stop and have a pack (or 2) of the nasi lemak... but after thinking about the cholesterol that i need to cut and also thinking the amount of calories i already been burning since early in the morning, make me cancel the thought and with that... I WON!!!... take that nasi lemak.... 1 for me, 0 for Nasi Lemak...

So i continue my cycle home with the thought of i manage to control the urges... and a mug of Oats + raisins awaits me at home hahahah...

Supplimentary diet

again .. its been awhile...



i just took my Health screening result last week.

it seems that my bad cholestrol level is still at the same level as the last time....

this is not good.... so the doctor suggested me to take this supplementary Omega-3 pills.



So i went on and bought myself a bottle of 60-capsules Omega-3 pills under the brand Seven-Sea (IIRC).. and i have to take 2 pills once a day...



also i have to double my exercise "dosage" in order to control this bad cholesterol thing... hmmm



and also i thik i need to try this Quaker Oat thing that they claimed can reduce this bad cholesterol also.... i really hoping they are right.. :D



did some "Googling" on the subject.. some say this Bad Cholesterol is a myth... let me read through all the article and then i''ll make my stand... but again this is about my health so there's nothing wrong in trying to improve (decrease) the

Its this time of the year again.. and some of us got some small get together during the long weekend hari Raya that day...

On Friday, Nazrol and DD + their family stop by to my house.. tapi somehow "ter"forget pulak nak amik gambar DD and family, very cute family ehehheh...

On Saturday, myself and my 2 daughters went to Rumah Mail and then we convoy to Rumah DD di Bertam. Bila sampai sana, Liz and Rizal and DD are waiting for us (actuallynya DD have to come and fetch me and mail near the roundabout lepas dah terlajak jauh gila... apa la navigator nih... itu la tak pakai GPS cuma harapkan lekat map kat belakang phone aja)

Makan nasi ayam yg best kat umah DD... so lepas nih kalau nak gi umahh DD suruh dia buat lagi nasi ayam tuh... sedap....

NOSTALGIC PAST 16 YEARS AGO: PART 1

Since the last couple of days, me and a couple of my friends (ex-classmates actually) are getting back in contact via the wonderful-world of sms and emails... and a lot of fond memories are being brought back including :

- a lot of pranks (rina vs mercun tarik, Liz vs rubbish throwing, HAG vs buah nyiok),

- jokes (a lot... a lot of jokes) ,

- name calling ( i dont think its appropriate now but.. sendiri mau ingat laa) ,

- punishments (for being the most social class ever - dang those seniors!!!),

- sudden outburst (errr. Teratak Ilmu incident hahahah - sorry ekk...)

- class wide protest (class vs Chemistry teacher vs name calling - resulted in a terrible SPM result!!)

- personality issue (pemalu then vs outspoken now)

- alim vs social (all mixed up in 1 class)

- JDP vs "normal citizen" (Gaza & Meen - not Fahmin ok)

just to name a few..

and some of us havent meet each other since the last 16 years we left our school back in 1992 (after SPM)... only heard a few rumours flying here and there such as...

- a sudden demise of fellow friend due to motorbike accident..

- classmates marrying each other

- one goes to Mars... (sorry... heheh)

again just to name a few...

Now..

- most of us already marrried and have a few kids and "still" 1 wife (for starters)..

- some are a fulltime career man & women (..hint..hint..)

- some still looking for that Mr Right...

- some already committed to a Mr Right and Ms. Right...

so guys.. enough of my flashback...

Funniest radio in Malaysia

i was driving to work on Tuesday morning when i tuned to Hitz.FM morning crew with Rudy and JJ..... man these guys are really funny...:))

they aired their gotcha when they call their mechanics (Murali IIRC) and said that their car brake didnt work... with all the sound effect etc you can really feel the "panicness" in the Mechanic voice when he received the call and his loyal customer with this problem...

Man!! that is 1 funny stuff.. i have to stop my car on the side of the road because i'm laughing so hard thta my stomach almost burst and tear also come running from my eyes.... the hardest laugh i have in months :))

syabas guys.... u guys really earn the title... The Funniest Guys On Radio..

and i've been tuning to these guys in the morning... every morning.... they really put a smile in people face...

and i heard that they're coming to Penang this weekend (Saturday 080808) Queensbay Mall 12pm - 3pm....

coincidently i'll be in Queensbay aswell meeting up with some friends.. maybe will drop and congrates them personally... :))

First time for everything

last 2 weeks.. i was admitted to the hospital due to back and stomach pain.
Gone through a series of check-up and there a "speck" or 1 tiny grain of calcium build up in the pipe leading down from the kidney to the Bladder.... no wonder i've been experiencing unbearable pain since the last few days prior to the admission tot he hospital.

But when i was warded, they gave me some medicine to ease the pain and then the next 2 days i feel like a very health man. Walking around the hospital etc.

anyway.... with that comes a few First Time in my life as listed below:
1. First time i was in the company's car a Mercedes Benz E200
2. First time i was bedded in a hospital ward (2 days)
3. First time to have my body bombarded with X-rays for > 8 time in 1 sitting
4. First time i saw my oldest daughter cry seeing me on the hospital bed (she's 5 years old)
5. First time i read a book up to 90% done with it (NEXT by Micheal Crichton - very interesting read BTW)
6. First time i ever get an MC.
7. First time to have my stomach "flushed" the night before the x-ray (a very uncomfortable nights with a few trips to the toilet)

i believe that are about all the "first time" i could think off ATM..

and i'm due for follow up next 2 weeks and the follow up last Saturday went on ok although the Doc said it would take a round 2 more weeks to see the result if the stone actually pass the pipe from the kidney...

and he prescribe me to drink A LOOOOTTTT of water .. palin water up to 3 litres/day... so far i only manage to get 2 litres/day... that should be enough

Almost involved with an accident!!

phew that was close!!

it happened last night when i was on my way back home. At this junction to my house, i was about to make a right turn into the junction, i gave signal and as i was taking my turn suddenly a kid on bicycle emerges from the cover and i have to stop in the middle of the road to let him pass (or else i might "bulldozed" him), as i hit the brake an ice lorry coming straight at me with a very high speed and was about to hit me.. so i put on gear and push the pedal to the metal making a high screetching sound at the tire and hear my engine roar. and at the same time the lorry also hitting his brake with also the screething sound and left a 2 meters skid mark of burning rubber on the road.

He manage to stop and i manage to avoid hitting the kid and accident adverted.

But didnt end there, the lorry driver followed me and prompted me to stop, lucky for me i stopped in my neighbourhood so all the neighbour come and gather around to see whats happening.

So he stayed in his lorry and cursing away, i feel that if not because of the neighbours around, he might wallop me or something since i'm alone and he's with a friend in the lorry.

SO to settle the problem, i just apologize to him and thank god nothing crazy happened. and also thanks to the neighbour for being there.

case closed.

My Workbench for model making

ok..
after being prompted by my fellow friend to show my Workbench in my room, here is it..
this is a dedicated room acquired by myself adjacent to the kitchen in the house. A small room that is also my PC Room and my reading room (small library).


First up is the photo of the PC(s) and also my entertaiment station when i'm working on my model. and this "L" shape table is custom made from leftover plank & wood from previous carpentry work outside the house. The compressor is located under the table

Next is the view where all the airbrushing are being done.. next to the window with the airbrush booth.

Next the book cabinet and also the stash on top
that should be it for now.. :D

as promised... the other 2 book i purchased are Book Of Flight & MegaBites of Flight.

Pretty interesting read for people that travel with airlines.. answer most of the "myth" in air travel like the one regarding the aircraft hit by lightning etc.

Book shopping at Bukit Raja

I'm in a mood of some Novel reading and i've been hunting for this book by Micheal Crichton titled NEXT (RM30) HERE





so i went to Jaya Jusco Bukit Raja yesterday with my brother, and i've got a bargain of book that i can read for a couple of months. They have abargain bin where any books with a code 18 or 81 got a special price of 5 books for RM10.


So the "bargain bin" were beseige by a lot of people and everyone end-up carrying 30-40 book of various titles and sizes. YUP sizes.. some people actually buy books based on the size and weight of the books especially when it in the bargain bin :).


i for one also join in the "feeding frenzy" and end-up with 10 books of various title. some of it as listed below with a link to it in Amazon.com
